Our Story
River City Glassworks has evolved over the years, from a hobbyist’s passion for glasswork to a full-fledged studio. Co-owners Kathryn Welch and Sondra Kretschmar have combined over 45 years of experience. As independent artists, each worked in the trade, collaborated on large projects, and became business partners in 2021. Their shared values include creating fine works of art, dedication to their families, and making their community a better place for all to thrive in.

Here at River City Glassworks, we are committed to giving back to our community in gratitude for all the support that we have received. Each month we commit a portion of our earnings to be given to a local charity, non-profit, or individual in need in San Marcos.
